This guide provides an overview of the ISIN Issuance and ISIN Eligibility process, timing and requirements.

WHEN TO SUBMIT |
ISIN issuance requests may be submitted once the required supporting documentation is available. Unqualified Letter (UQL):A UQL may be requested as soon as an ISIN has been assigned. Please submit an ISIN Issuance application & select “Unqualified Letter” from the menu in CDSX. |
Once the ISIN(s) have been issued and final documentation is available, please submit at least 2 full business days prior to closing/effective date, otherwise, late fees may be applicable. Example:For a closing date on Wednesday, the eligibility request must be submitted prior to noon ET on Monday to avoid late fees |

Based on submission time, a staggered potential late fee for requests submitted less than 2 business days prior to closing may be applicable

DELIVERY |
Complete applications received before 4:00 pm ET (day 1) will result in an ISIN returned by the close of the following business day (5:00 pm ET on day 2) Complete applications received after 4:00 pm ET (day 1) will result in an ISIN returned by close of business, two business days later (5:00 pm ET on day 3) * Subject to Canadian & U.S. holiday processing |
The time required to complete a request is dependent on submission time, volumes, and additional documentation/information requirements. As such, completion times can vary. CDS aims to complete the requests no later than the day prior to the closing/effective date. * Subject to Canadian & U.S. holiday processing |

Documentation must be in FINAL form & clearly specify all terms, conditions & attributes of the security Draft documentation may result in rejection of the application. |
